Jennifer Beathe
4-H Center Committee, Grants Committee
Jennifer Beathe has worked as a forester for 25 years at Starker Forests in Corvallis. She has a BS in Forest Engineering from Oregon State University. Her professional responsibilities have included the management of culvert and bridge construction projects, logging supervision, forest road layout and maintenance, public outreach and public affairs. Jennifer is an advocate for sustainable and active forest management of Oregon’s forests, and helping Oregonians understand the connection between forests, rural economies, and the wood products used every day.
Jennifer has served on the Board of Directors of the Oregon State University Alumni Association, the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI) (2011-2016, Chair 2015/16, 2021-), the Oregon Society of American Foresters (SAF) Foundation, the Oregon Natural Resource Education Fund (ONREF) (President) and the Oregon 4-H Foundation. A “dirt forester” at heart, Jennifer enjoys hiking in the woods with her dog, backpacking anywhere in the PNW, and volunteering in her children’s school and sports activities. As a professional forester, I am excited to support 4-H programs that provide educational and science-based natural resource learning opportunities for Oregon's youth.
